Volunteer in the Garden on Saturday Mornings!

Want to help Legacy Farms keep our garden beautiful over the next couple of months? We need VOLUNTEERS! Join us Saturday mornings from 10-12:30 at Temple Hall Farm, on Route 15 just outside of Leesburg. Help with weeding and basic maintenance. We'll supply all the tools and you'll enjoy the calming effect of spending time tending flowers, mint, basil, tomatoes, and all the new fall veggies coming soon!

Loudoun County Spring Farm Tour

Loudoun County's Spring Farm Tours are free, self-guided tours for people of all ages at multiple farm locations throughout the county.

Join us at Temple Hall Farm in Leesburg, between the hours of 10:00-4:00 both Saturday and Sunday, May 19 & 20.

We'll be working in the garden, and also there to talk with you about our programs! Meet staff, volunteers and participants, walk our garden, and even plant a few seeds!!

The twice-annual Loudoun Farm Tours attract thousands of visitors from across the country to the beautiful Loudoun Valleys, with views of the Blue Ridge and Short Hill mountains all just minutes west of Washington-Dulles International Airport. Visitors can enjoy free, self-guided driving tours to participating farms and wineries during these county-sponsored events. Both county-sponsored events are held annually in May and October.

“One of the goals of the farm tour is to spur the Loudoun economy by introducing consumers to Loudoun food and product producers,” explains Loudoun Economic Development Executive Director Buddy Rizer.

Breakfast in the Garden with Legacy Farms

Come join us at Temple Hall Farm for our 3rd Annual Breakfast in the Garden on Saturday April 21, 2018 from 9:30-11:30 AM (Rain Date: Sunday April 22, 2018).

You will be able to tour the garden and speak to members of our Board of Directors, as well as learn more about Legacy Farms as an organization and how we work in the community!

We are also very excited to share the news of our Spring & Summer programs! You will have the opportunity to sign up for our program or join our volunteer team.

Bring a family member who may want to participate, so that they can check out the farm! We look forward to seeing you in the garden.

Legacy Farms' GiveChoose campaign is now open! AND... We have a matching grant! Turn your $100 donation into $155!

When you donate between now and May 1st, your $100 donation will be matched with an additional $55, turning the total donation into $155! Our donor will match 55 cents for every dollar made up to $550, and if we meet our goal, this will provide an additional $302 to fund our programs!

GiveChoose is an online program of community giving organized by the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties to benefit dozens of local non-profits. And Legacy Farms is participating!

Join us at the Loudoun County Public Schools Summer Activities Resource Fair, located in the Administrative Building at 21000 Education Cournt (behind Clyde's Willow Creek) in Ashburn.

We'll be available to discuss our Spring, Summer and Fall programs and answer any questions you may have.

The Bus Stops Here

Every year, the numbers of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities continues to rise, yet the services to ensure their needs are meet has not changed. Join us as we celebrate the local vocational, residential, support, transportation, arts, and life skill services currently provided in Loudoun and help Legacy Farms continue to do our part. There will be plenty of Fall Festival Fun provided by Temple Hall Farm and "The Bus Stop" will host a variety of vendors the support our community.

Comedy Fundraiser for Legacy Farms at Spanky's in Leesburg

Patrick Rice, local Eagle Scout is building us an outdoor classroom for his Capital Improvement Project. As part of the project, he is responsible for raising the money and purchasing all the building supplies. Please join us and help him complete his project while ensuring our Summer Garden Participnats have a coll place to sit, out of the sun when discussing daily activities.

We want to start the year out right by showing our appreciation for all the work our volunteers, the advisory committee and the board do to ensure we are successful each year, so we are buying you breakfast! 

During breakfast, we will be discussing the upcoming Spring, Summer and Fall programs, our new greenhouse and much more... 

You will have an opportunity to view the watering schedule and let us know how you can help with some of the weekly tasks such as watering and weeding that go along with running the garden.

We have several new board members you will meet and we look forward to meeting new volunteers as well.

Breakfast will be provided around 10:30 and you will have an opportunity to tour the garden and see what we will be offering this year.

Legacy Farms Garden Help

We need volunteers to come out to the Legacy Farms Garden plot located at Temple Hall Farm in Leesburg, VA.  We are beginning to prep and prepare the garden for the spring & summer growing seasons.  There will be various jobs of weeding, spreading mulch, watering, planting, and other various tasks as we begin our second season at Temple Hall Farm. We look forward to seeing you at the Garden.

Every Saturday from 10-2 we will be working i n the garden starting April 9th (Unless the weather's not cooperating.)
