Partners & Supporters

The key to a strong organization is developing relationships with local businesses and organizations that make a real difference in the work we do. Corporate donors, local sponsors and partners who help to provide funding, guidance, and support. We want to express our deep gratitude to the following partners and supporters who help make our programs possible.

Temple Hall Farm

If it weren't for Ben and the folks at Temple Hall Farm, Legacy Farms would not be where we are today. We owe them so much for their donation of land, the guidance and support they have given us, and most of all, their patience in supporting a new nonprofit still learning the ways of the world.

In 2015, Temple Hall Farm donated a piece of land we call home today. It is situated to the left of the main  meeting building, and is the natural home of Temple Hall's free-range peacocks who enjoy the farm along with us, nesting, raising their young, and sometimes getting into our crops! Temple Hall has allowed us to build a greenhouse, expand our offerings for Spring, Summer, and Fall programs, and much more.

Lightfoot Restaurant

This Summer, Lightfoot Restaurant is serving up Legacy Farms' bounty in creative weekly dishes! Partnering with local businesses and having weekly harvest and delivery responsibilities means our program participants have real-world deliverables and an opportunity to represent the organization out in the local community. "Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Leesburg in Loudoun County, Lightfoot stands at the intersection of the past and present. Lightfoot offers enchanting lunches and extraordinary dinners, as well as distinctive banquets and intimate private events. All meals are prepared by our multi-talented staff with an obsessive attention to taste and detail."

Lansdowne Resort & Spa

Lansdowne Resort has partnered with us to establish a kitchen herb garden on their grounds and to offer Summer classes on herb gardening to their guests (along with delicious snacks and drinks designed by their chefs using our herbs).

Additionally, they support our efforts through Coton & Rye's "Support a Cause" fundraising happy hours for local non-profits. We partner with them to hold casual seasonal fundraisers. Lansdowne Resort and Spa donates 20% of all sales from 3:00pm–10:00pm at Coton & Rye.

Fabbioli Cellars & New Ag School

Fabbioli Cellars and The New Ag School, both founded by Doug Fabbioli, provide support for our program through gardening advice and partnerships with students in their New Ag program. They help us keep our garden growing so that we can balance farming needs with program development and instruction. They are exciting additions to our team and share a common belief in the power of hands-on learning.

Stop by Fabbioli Cellars for a wine-tasting, and check out New Ag School!

Loudounberry Farm Garden

Loudounberry has supported our growth for two seasons now, by offering plant and herb starts that give our participants the opportunity to put plants in the soil and watch them flourish and grow for harvest in Summer! They have become a wonderful partner to our program, and we encourage you to support them in return by stopping by their location on Route 15 near Lucketts for plants, flowers, fresh-baked pies, preserves and other local goods!

100 Women Strong

100WomenStrong is an organization founded in 2008 by people who have made a commitment to improve the quality of life for residents of Loudoun County, Virginia. In 2016, they donated the money for us to build our first greenhouse, and it has changed our entire organization. We can now offer programs in the early spring, grow our own seedlings, and grow flowers and produce for local businesses for donations.

A Farm Less Ordinary

Not only are Maya and Greg, owners and founders of A Farm Less Ordinary, considered a major "Friend to the Farm", they also offer several of our participants a place to work. They are a farm, a community, and a tribe and part of a movement to create employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Bluemont, Virginia, they provide CSA opportunities to the DC each year add more to their program. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the folks at AFLO.
